Maria Brink

 Maria Brink was born December 18th 1977. She is an American performer and songwriter. In This Moment has released seven albums and earned four nominations from the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and the fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. She was also one of eleven women in heavy rock who matter to Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 Hottest Girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. In 2002, she was 25, she moved to Los Angeles to find a band to join. Prior to having a band, Brink worked in stores and also sang in cafes and bars. She got to know Chris Howorth, now a member of the band, during an audition in 2004. Howorth initially turned down Brink because she was female. Then, two weeks later Howorth apologized and then hired Brink as a singer. They were formed Dying Star together with Jeff Fabb, drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel, guitarist, as well as Josh Newell, bassist joined the group. They were soon renamed In This Moment.
