Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, playwright and teacher of St. Thomas University). Her father comes from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals and observing her mother at work. When she was a kid, she appeared in several commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto in order to help her acting grow. Later, the actress moved to Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her partner in 2009. Anna has just recently converted to Judaism and the couple married in Fredericton.
