Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life through her imaginative and creative imagination. Before she learned to read and write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own music. At the age of 8, she got the first electric guitar she owned and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. Gold Band Records is a small label that is independent. While still in highschool She made her mark local, but longed for a larger stage. When she graduated from high school in 1964 she immediately moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner began looking for women to sing for his television show that was syndicated around the same time. Parton was hired in the year 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974, when her solo hits like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton following the breakup of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and had it reach No. In 1974, Parton's song I Will Always Love You peaked at No.
